This year, The Student Guidance Centre (CLB) and the Flemish Ministry of Education and Training have organized the SID-in virtually on Hyperfair for the schools of the 5 Flemish provinces.

They have organized the open doors fair for students in their final years of secondary school to help students to make a choice for their coming studies. With their teachers and parents, they were able to discover a wide range of high schools, universities, study and professional opportunities. Many professionals and teachers were also present to inform the students and their parents during the fair, and help them in their choices.

For its annual congress "Belgian Pneumology Day 2020", the Belgian Respiratory Society went virtual. Belgian Pulmunologists where invited to follow sessions on the latest Respiratory news; both Asthma and COPD; including latest updates on COVID-19, given by a selection of Belgian Key Opinions Leaders. An area was dedicated to the posters submitted for the GSK and Yernault Awards 2020 for which winners where announced during the virtual congress.

This year for the 34th annual meeting of the European Association of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, during 3 days, world-renowned speakers gave conferences on cardio-thoracic surgery. Plenary sessions were also held during this event and were interspersed with satellite sessions organized by a dozen companies. All these sessions were translated into more than 15 languages and there were also more than 30 exhibitors from the pharmaceutical industry and medical associations, all specialized in cardio-thoracic surgery. This first digital edition was a real success for the organizers, exhibitors, speakers and attendees.

The European Research and Innovation Days are one of the European Commission's annual flagship events.
